This week on the Farm

Whether we’re moving cows, planting garlic, preserving the harvest or welcoming a wedding, life on Willow Farm is full of possibilities.

Wedding season for us is September to May, which keeps us pretty busy. Nearly every weekend we invite a new couple of lovebirds onto the farm to transform it into their dream wedding. We’re here to suggest suppliers, mow a special ceremony spot in a paddock and offer local knowledge, but our favourite part of the job is to sit back and watch in amazement as the most beautiful, personal, love-filled weddings are dreamed up and celebrated here.

When we’re not in wedding mode, we have all sorts of other stuff going on. If the sheep, cattle, chooks, Gilli the goat, or the farm dogs Rusty and Smudge aren’t keeping us busy, we can usually be found pottering in the vege patch, or having a quick cool-off in the creek.

Outside of wedding season we often open the farm to other events where we get to meet more wonderfully creative and interesting people. The farmhouse might have photo shoots going on, or holidaymakers booked in, while the yoga studio and party shed host the odd weekend course or event such as our semi-regular yoga and juice cleanse weekend.

It really is a charmed (and very busy) little life.

See what we’ve been up to…

Bridie and Luke

Oh my joy! This wedding. Words do not do it justice. Along came Bridie and Luke, two gorgeous lovebirds whose hearts were just singing with joy when we first met them. Together with their talented friends they created the most divine wedding, full of song, and laughter, and just teeming with love.

Hanna and Cale

Gorgeous (almost) local couple Hanna and Cale tied the knot on a steamy February afternoon in the most beautiful, relaxed, love-filled ceremony you could possibly imagine.

Michelle and Nick

When Michelle first came down to Willow Farm she brought her beautiful Mum with her, and together they decided on the spot that this was the perfect place for Michelle and Nick's big day. Luckily, Nick agreed, and from that moment on we knew Michelle and Nick's wedding would be a whole family affair, we just didn't know what an amazing day it would turn out to be, overflowing with love, laughter and crazy dancing.

Hannah and Dan

Hannah and Dan snuck in for our last wedding for 2016, and they picked an absolute cracker of a day for a wedding. It was mid December, the weather was perfect and the afternoon light was seriously magical.

Gem and Aaron

First up, we can't go past the sensational wedding of gorgeous lovebirds Gem and Aaron. Their ideas for their wedding came from such a place of happiness and joy, and just poured out on the day filling everyone's cup. It was one of the most radiant and colourful weddings of the season, and left everyone who witnessed it sparkling with glee.

Bec and Andy

Bec and Andy picked a cracking day for their wedding. It was perfect. Warm with clear blue skies and love in the air.

Alicia and Rob

We love all the weddings at Willow Farm, but Alicia and Rob's was especially up our alley. Great tunes, great food, happy people. Two totally gorgeous Lovebirds. What more could you want?

Madalyn and Blake

Madalyn and Blake knew they wanted to squeeze the absolute most out of their wedding so we were delighted when they chose Willow Farm as their venue and even more thrilled when they decided to make a holiday out of it.

Cushla and Brendan

Gorgeous lovebirds Cushla and Brendan first crossed our paths in spring 2015. They were so easygoing, understatedly stylish and lovely that we were thrilled when they booked the farm for their wedding and couldn't wait for the big day to arrive.

Suzanne and Beneton

On a gorgeous, sunny Sunday morning, Suzanne and Ben declared their love and commitment for each other in a relaxed, love filled ceremony by the dam, surrounded by a beautiful crowd that was clearly beaming with happiness for the pair.
