This week on the Farm
Whether we’re moving cows, planting garlic, preserving the harvest or welcoming a wedding, life on Willow Farm is full of possibilities.
Wedding season for us is September to May, which keeps us pretty busy. Nearly every weekend we invite a new couple of lovebirds onto the farm to transform it into their dream wedding. We’re here to suggest suppliers, mow a special ceremony spot in a paddock and offer local knowledge, but our favourite part of the job is to sit back and watch in amazement as the most beautiful, personal, love-filled weddings are dreamed up and celebrated here.
When we’re not in wedding mode, we have all sorts of other stuff going on. If the sheep, cattle, chooks, Gilli the goat, or the farm dogs Rusty and Smudge aren’t keeping us busy, we can usually be found pottering in the vege patch, or having a quick cool-off in the creek.
Outside of wedding season we often open the farm to other events where we get to meet more wonderfully creative and interesting people. The farmhouse might have photo shoots going on, or holidaymakers booked in, while the yoga studio and party shed host the odd weekend course or event such as our semi-regular yoga and juice cleanse weekend.
It really is a charmed (and very busy) little life.
See what we’ve been up to…
