FAQ's

Yes, you are welcome to bring in your own caterer or food van. Caterers are welcome to use the kitchen facility at the rear of the Farm Shed which is spacious. Ample power, a double door commercial stainless steel fridge, hot water urn and ample bench space is included, Your caterer will be able to advise you what equipment they need to bring in depending on your menu requirements. 

Plenty ! There is 15 AMP  power available from the back of the Shed  plus several standard double GPO 240V outlets in The Shed . In the garden an additional power box is located for marquee power. If you require additional power or power further at a different location to what is provided please discuss with Willow Farm team. 

We Sure do….
We have two powered speakers mounted on stands (portable) capable of 1100 watts each, a wired microphone, and a control box which houses a small mixer and the audio processor. Owing to council requirements, your band/DJ/iPod must use out audio system only ever go to a certain maximum decibel sound level ( don’t worry it is high enough for a cranking dancefloor). All amplified music must cease by 11 pm ( Fridays and Saturdays)  or 10pm ( Sundays – Thursdays).

Yes we do, as part of DA from the Council, on Fridays and Saturdays there is to be no amplified music after 11pm and the party has to wind up by 11.15pm. On other days the amplified music needs to end by 10pm and the party wound up by 10.15pm.

This is similar for all venues on the South Coast. Some are slightly earlier. If you’d really like to maximise your dance floor time, we recommend holding your ceremony earlier at say 3.00pm which allows for plenty of time to spend celebrating.

Yes there are.
You can “Do-it-yourself’ and hire the venue only, or we can offer you a variety of value-for- money packages including all the essential elements for your event, taking the stress out you having to do all the legwork we’ve already done for you.

The open space in the yoga barn is 11.7 metres wide and 9.6 metres deep. (ie not including the bathroom, storage and kitchenette).
The yoga barn is a great we weather space for your ceremony, and can be set up with seating for around 100 guests with a further 35 guests standing.

There is a wide range of hotel, B&B and holiday accommodation available in and around Berry. A quick internet search or scroll through AirBnB and Stayz will give your guests many options to explore. Please enquire about accommodation options offering Willow Farm a special discounted rate for wedding guests.  There are also great options should you want seperate accommodation for the bride or groom close by. We can send you some recommendations.

About a 7 minute drive.
The nearest beach is called Seven Mile Beach and is a quick drive along Beach Road. There is also lovely quiet inlet on the North end which is Gerroa, and a  seaside beach towards the South at Shoalhaven Heads where there is a patrolled area during summer.

Yes you can….
Willow Farm is a “dry-hire” venue, meaning you supply your own alcohol and we provide  Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) trained and certified bar staff contracted through The Henry Clive Bar.  The bar staff team are included in the Willow Farm packages, along with all the accompaniments such as cool room, ice, glassware, bar etc. 


You are welcome to enjoy a brunch the morning after your wedding as the 10 guests who are staying onsite, along with an additional friends or family (a maximum of 20 guests in total). However for larger groups, we recommend gathering at one of the wonderful pubs, cafes or beer gardens in/around Berry. Alternatively, for a special send-off we highly recommend Bangalay Luxury Villas (an easy 15 minute drive) which is a beautiful regional destination to experience. The property sits at the southern end of Seven Mile Beach – have a refreshing dip and then enjoy a gourmet spread at Bangalay Dining 

Yes!
There is a large fixed firepit outside the Homestead, plus two portable small fire pits that can be used at your event. We will only request that you keep an eye on the fire when lit, and we will be guided by local authorities when fire restrictions will be in place.

For weddings of 80+ guests for a sit down event or 100+ guests for a cocktail style wedding a marquee is recommended. The Shed is the perfect partner for you dancefloor, couples love it – it’s a real vibe once you put your DJ / music in there

If you’d like to have an alfresco-style wedding with 80+ seated / 100+ cocktail we suggest having a marquee on hold – hopefully you won’t need to use it however if the weather doesn’t want to play ball, you’ve got a back up in place. Many marquee companies will take a small non-refundable deposit for this peace of mind.

Many couples are looking for a marquee, garden style wedding regardless of numbers and that is perfectly achievable at Willow Farm

Weekday weddings are held on a Tues – Thurs period. We may also be able to accommodate other dates – just ask us about your preferred special day

There are so many wonderful sites around the farm to set up a marquee and you can position the marquee either directly on to the grass or on the pavement / hardstand, and built with or without a marquee wooden floor to save on costs.

Absolutlely ! We have an amazing range of local suppliers built up over the past 8 years for all elements of your event – from caterers, to musicians,  florists, celebrants, photographers and many more. Plus most of the suppliers we recommend have worked at Willow Farm before. You are of course welcome to work with your preferred vendors too. The undercover area of The Shed is 11.7 metres wide x 8.6 metres deep. The ceiling is 3.5 metres at its peak and 2.7 metres at its lowest point. We can comfortably seat 75 guests with a dance floor using our long timber banquet tables, or host 100 people cocktail style within The Shed.

Willow Farm caters for weddings of a range of sizes – from micro weddings up to weddings of 135 guests.

Yes ! We have a selection of three different arbors that your florist can decorate easily, plus we have six timber bench seats which are 2.7m long each seating 5-6 people.  

There is matching timber signing table and stool as well

Yes we do  – included in your wedding package is at least one event manger who will be onsite and available to assist you in coordinating your wedding day for you. For weddings over 80 guests we will have both an event manager and an assistant to ensure everything runs beautifully smoothly and your guests and vendors are taken care of. 

Our event managers bring to your wedding a great depth of experience and knowledge with over 20 years in the industry and a thorough knowledge or the venue.

Not necessarily – it depends on your wedding size and preferences. 

For weddings of up to 75 guests seated or 100 guests cocktail style no marquee is needed – you can set up in The Shed or on the lawns alfresco, should you choose to dine under the stars and use The Shed as a wet weather back-up.

Yes, we offer a range of Styling items. We have a Styling Shed that hold furniture along with useful and decorative bits and pieces like clear umbrellas, candlestick holders, bud vases, candles, lawn games, wooden stumps, easels, blackboards and much more. It’s all yours to use.

We are very animal friendly at Willow Farm. Having your much loved pet as part of your ceremony is something we love to see. We do ask, however, that you keep your dog on a lead at all times when not in the Homestead gardens. We are a working cattle farm so we just dont want you pet to wander into the wrong paddock and chase livestock. The homestead gardens are fully fenced. We ask you keep your pets in the yard during the reception or for your dog to have a pet-sitter.

Yes, this is all included. We have 15 trestle tables (each measuring 2.3m x 0.9m) made from reclaimed hardwood timber to seat 120 guests. You can choose from mismatched vintage style dinner plates or a white coupe plate for up to 135 guests. Also included is the choice or either a white padded chair or natural timber padded chair  – chosen for their suitability to go on grass having wider feet, premium table glassware ( wine and water glass)  and premium stainless steel cutlery for two courses.

We also have a choice of either 12 x white barstools with a white bar or 12 x black barstools with a corrugated iron and timber bar together with three high bar tables.

It’s very close by. Willow Farm is only 2.5kms from the centre of Berry Village, so approximately a 4 minute drive or 15 minute walk.

Absolutely ! Please enjoy a self guided yoga session in our beautiful Yoga Shala (barn) to kick off your wedding moerning, or we can organise an instructor to take you through an energising or relaxation practice to set all the good intentions and vibes for your day

Yes we do – the Yoga Shala ( barn) is a beautiful white airy space with timber floors overlooking the paddocks. It is a good option for a wet weather space for your ceremony and can be set up for up to 135 guests. This means no disruption to any other space you may be using on the day.

 

The space of the Shala is 11.7 metres wide x 9.6 metres deep and there is also an accompanying bathroom, storage space and large deck.

Entry is via two beautiful French doors.

When you book Willow Farm for your wedding you have exclusive use of the property for three days, two nights. You’ll have an early 11.00am check in on day one and a late 4.00pm checkout on day three – we never want you to feel rushed. 

Willow Farm is yours to set-up as you wish. A venue  manager will meet you on day one to help direct you and provide a short brief for all the inclusions in your wedding package. You also have full access to our Styling Shed which includes a broad range of different styling items  ( candles and holders, bud vases, lawn games, signage, easels, confetti holders and more)

Yes we can – You can do-it-yourself and hire the venue ( and the inclusions within our package) or we can offer you a variety of value-for-money services that includes all the essential elements for your event ( for example, sourcing your vendors, styling your wedding, creating the runsheet and floorpan) taking the stress out of you having to do all the leg work.

No !  Already included in the venue hire package are upmarket Portable Powder Rooms – the nicest on the market. With a male and female bathroom and all amenities. 

Unfortunately no. Owing to Council restrictions we aren’t able to accommodate camping on Willow Farm. We do permit up to two glamping tents on application. There are plenty of holiday parks and accommodation outlets to suit all budgets within a short drive of the farm.

Absolutely, you are of course welcome to have kids on the property. Please be aware though, there is a large unfenced dam on the property and it is a working farm, meaning there is livestock and barbed wire fences on the land. We ask that you ensure children are always accompanied on the property by a responsible adult. There are also nanny services available on the South Coast, please ask us for a recommendation.

Yes you can – provided there are no active fire restrictions in place. We just ask that the wax be managed in a way that it will not drip onto the timber trestle tables.

Be mindful if outdoors or in an open marquee it is a good idea to have them in some sort of shade for protection

We allow sparklers. Please ensure there is a bucket of water for them to be disposed of responsibly. 

We do not allow other forms of pyrotechnics as we have many animals on the property that dont take too well to fireworks.

Of course !  Willow Farm is a beautiful location for an intimate wedding with your closest friends and family.

We generally offer elopements and micro weddings from  June – September or on Wednesdays outside of these months. For other dates please enquire

In order to book Willow Farm and secure your dates we require a 30% deposit. The next 30% is not due until 6 months out from your wedding and the final payment is due 30 days out. Can can offer a payment plan if needed. Full Terms and Conditions will be emailed on booking request

We have two parking areas catering for a total of 30 vehicles ( including house guests and vendor parking) On the east side of the bridge along the main driveway and on the west side of the bridge next to the yoga shala.

For weddings over 60 guests we include bus transport with Berry Bus Service. Alternatively guests can contact Berry Taxis 0476 246 444. 

The homestead is made of beautiful old stone and stays cool in summer and warm in winter. There are two Big Ass Fans in the kitchen and bridal suite. A wrap around verandah also keeps the homestead cool.

In winter there are two open fires, gas heaters and under floor heating in the bridal bathroom.

You will be cool in summer and toasty warm in winter.

The grounds of Willow Farm are flat and wheelchair accessible. Please be aware that there are gravelled and grassy lawn areas. The bathroom in the homestead is accessible and a ramp is available for use for the one small step. Please advise.
