There’s not much I can say about the magical day that was Kathleen and Matthew’s wedding that doesn’t seem pale and insignificant next to the beauty of Ben Sowry’s photos from the day. He captured all the love, joy, time, effort and planning that went into making it magical. And it was all the inspired dream and hard work of the beautiful bride and her amazing team of helpers.
“I cannot tell you how I felt when we first arrived to Willow Farm in 2017. I knew I loved it from the pictures, but nothing prepared me for how peaceful and grounding your property is. I’m so grateful that you decided to turn it into a wedding venue. There is no other place in Australia I would get married!” Kathleen (and Matthew).
The gorgeous couple chose a ceremony by the creek, on a cool but sunny Autumn day. Kathleen is a floral designer and had imagined, grown, foraged and found the most beautiful floral archway you could possibly imagine. And her amazing friend Alice Rose Beasley constructed it, foam free on site for the wedding.
And the incredible floral arrangements didn’t finish there. From bouquets to the incredible table decorations and beyond, flowers were the show stealers, used in so many beautiful and creative ways; fresh, dried, pressed, dyed on fabric! We were in awe of Kathleen and Alice’s incredible talents.
We also thought the farm was looking pretty spectacular too.
Other amazing suppliers on the day were the always incredible team from Garnish Catering, the effervescent Todd Mayhew from Married by Todd, and the super organised Vanessa from Wed Event Creators.
Thanks to all the amazing suppliers, and especially our gorgeous lovebirds Kathleen and Todd for bringing so much beauty, love and joy to the farm. We loved that you chose Willow Farm for your big day, and wish you endless love for a long and happy life together.
